Before being appointed as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Oana Țoiu was a member of the Romanian Parliament from December 2020 and became Vice President of the Chamber of Deputies in 2024. She also served as Secretary of State at the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection (2016–2017) and ran for the European Parliament in 2019. She is appreciated for legislative initiatives supporting parents of children with cancer, youth integration from care centers, and protecting victims of domestic violence.
