H.E. Stănică is a seasoned Romanian career diplomat appointed Consul General of Romania in Chicago in July 2024. With over 20 years of experience and the rank of Minister Counsellor, he holds a law degree from the University of Bucharest and a master’s in International Relations from SNSPA. He specialized in internal affairs management and public communication, completing multiple advanced diplomatic courses at the Romanian Diplomatic Institute. H.E. Stănică has served in key diplomatic posts across Chișinău, Istanbul, Munich, and Vienna, and undertook temporary missions in Ankara, Dublin, and New Delhi. As Consul General, he enhances cultural and economic relations between Romania and the Midwest, and fosters strong bilateral partnerships, promoting community engagement and vibrant local Romanian communities.
